The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is an upper mid-range Ada Lovelace consumer GPU, launched in January 2023. Originally announced as the RTX 4080 12GB before being renamed following criticism, it provides strong 1440p and capable 4K gaming performance.
The RTX 4070 Ti uses the AD104 die with 12GB of GDDR6X memory providing 504 GB/s bandwidth. It includes 7,680 CUDA cores, 240 fourth-generation Tensor Cores, and 60 third-generation RT cores. TDP is 285W.
Fourth-generation Tensor Cores enable DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, significantly extending effective performance in supported titles. The RTX 4070 Ti delivers excellent 1440p high-refresh gaming and capable 4K gaming, particularly with DLSS enabled.
The 12GB memory capacity has been criticized as potentially limiting for future games, which NVIDIA addressed with the 16GB RTX 4070 Ti Super. However, for current 1440p gaming, the RTX 4070 Ti provides strong performance and remains a popular choice in its price segment.
