The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is a mainstream Ada Lovelace consumer GPU, launched in May 2023. It targets 1080p high-refresh gaming with excellent efficiency, though its 8GB memory configuration has been debated for longevity concerns. A 16GB variant is also available.
The RTX 4060 Ti uses the AD106 die with 8GB of GDDR6 memory (16GB variant available) providing 288 GB/s bandwidth. It includes 4,352 CUDA cores, 136 fourth-generation Tensor Cores, and 34 third-generation RT cores. TDP is an efficient 160W.
The highly efficient 160W TDP enables compact designs and makes the RTX 4060 Ti practical for smaller builds and systems without premium power supplies. Many models don't require external power connectors beyond a single 8-pin cable.
Fourth-generation Tensor Cores enable DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, which is particularly valuable at this tier where the AI frame generation significantly boosts effective performance. The 8GB memory is adequate for 1080p but the 16GB variant provides more headroom for future games.
