The NVIDIA V100 SXM 32GB is the extended-memory variant of the Volta architecture datacenter GPU, released in 2018. It doubles the HBM2 memory capacity of the original V100 SXM to 32GB, enabling larger model training runs and batch sizes. The SXM2 form factor provides NVLink 2.0 with 300 GB/s bidirectional bandwidth. It was widely deployed in HGX-2 and DGX-1 systems and remains in use for legacy AI and HPC workloads.
