The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is an upper mid-range Ampere architecture consumer GPU, launched in June 2021. It upgraded the memory subsystem from GDDR6 to GDDR6X compared to the RTX 3070, providing improved bandwidth.
The RTX 3070 Ti uses the GA104 die with 8GB of GDDR6X memory providing 608 GB/s bandwidth. It includes 6,144 CUDA cores, 192 third-generation Tensor Cores, and 48 second-generation RT cores. TDP is 290W.
The GDDR6X memory provides approximately 20% more bandwidth than the RTX 3070's GDDR6, translating to modest performance improvements. The RTX 3070 Ti positioned between the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 in both performance and pricing.
The RTX 3070 Ti delivers excellent 1440p gaming performance and capable 4K gaming. The 8GB memory capacity is the same as the RTX 3070, which has become limiting for some demanding titles at higher resolutions with maximum settings.
